Desotec’s mission is to protect our planet. We provide end-to-end purification solutions for pollution in air, water and other gases and liquids. We do this by supplying mobile activated carbon filters to our B2B customers across Europe. We recycle our own saturated filters by taking back the spent activated carbon for reactivation, making our filter solutions circular.

 

As a Chemical Project Engineer at DESOTEC you get the responsibility…

  • To  calculate, design, specify, purchase and install new production installations for our plants in Roeselare and abroad.

  • To optimize existing production installations.

  • To select subcontractors and other external partners and to make the cooperation with them run smoothly.

  • To assist at the installation and start-up of new equipment / plants

  • To manage the planning, progress and budget of your projects.

  • To prepare and evaluate technical files, manuals and CE files.

 

Who are you as a Chemical Project Engineer?

  • You are a Master (of Science) in Chemical Engineering, preferably with specialization in chemical process technology.

  • You have at least 3 years of relevant project experience in thermal and/or chemical processes within a manufacturing environment.

  • You have knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Project, drawing packages (2D/3D) and other standard software for an engineer. Experience with ERP is a plus.

  • You have experience with process flow diagrams (P&ID’s) and component design / selection (piping, pumps, valves, …).

  • You are familiar with safety studies (HAZID / HAZOP).

  • You can speak and write fluently in English and French. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus but not a must.
